One of my favorite haiku was written a decade or so ago when I first came across my healing art - aquatic bodywork. It's a practice that has encouraged me to dive deep into myself and led me to want to share that possibility with others.
if I am a fish
why this climbing of mountains?
let me dive deeper
(haiku by Sulis)
I love mountains too and have found that high altitudes - lots of air - suit me well. No doubt we each need a balance of all the elements in our lives. The image here reminds me of that: the fish is part of a windchime in front of a window in the forest cabin where I live.
As my birthday chimes in, I'll be sharing the water with colleagues who are interested in the way in which the circumstances surrounding our births affect all aspects of our subsequent lives. In water, we seem to gain easier access to this history and its healing.
The last time I took this same workshop, about ten years ago now, I experienced a profound personal healing. Much water has passed under the bridge of my life since then and I'm looking forward to new discoveries on this water-inspired quest.
What do you come home to now?
The way emerging ideas, engage your senses.
Maps cannot contain me:
most quests are private adventures;
all of life's milestones, simple things.
Outstanding choice in
the well-lived life.
(cut-word poem by Sulis)
